Student classroom behavior
In our classroom, student behavior is managed several different ways. Students are expected to follow the 3 R's- respectful, responsible, and a good role model. A clip chart is used to monitor student behavior. The colors are as follows: pink (role model), purple (great effort), blue (good work), green (ready to learn), yellow (slow down), orange (think about it), and red (oh no! stop!-parent contact). All students start off on the color green. Everyone has the opportunity to move up the chart for good behavior. If a classroom or school rule is broken, students may be asked to move their clip down a color. Clips can be moved back up the chart if the behavior improves. Special prizes are awarded for good behavior. Daily behavior is noted is noted on your child's behavior calendar that comes home nightly in the Take Home Binder. Please sign your child's calendar nightly and discuss behavior with them.
